The dungeon exists because people help it exist. Most of that help is not money.
If you have reported something broken
Thank you. The staircase that would not stay hidden, the letter that greyed out mid-round, the pin that landed in the wrong Portland — every one of those was found by a crawler, not by me. I would have shipped them all.
If you have answered someone else’s question
Thank you. In the forum, on a ticket, in passing. That is the entire point of this place, and it is the part I am most proud of.
If you told one other person
Thank you. That is how anybody gets here at all.
If you would like to chip in money
It covers the three things this actually costs: hosting, the domain, and the email service that posts crawlers their achievements and dungeon mail. That last one has a hard daily cap, which is the sort of unglamorous problem nobody warns you about until five hundred people register in a week.
Nothing here is behind a paywall. There is nothing to unlock, no supporters-only room, no badge that means something. Supporters get exactly the same dungeon as everyone else, plus my genuine thanks.
If you would rather help for free
- Report anything that looks wrong. I would much rather know than not know.
- Answer a question in the forum. You will often be better at it than I am.
- Tell one person who would like the books. That is the whole marketing budget.
The dungeon keeps score. So do I.
