What Is This Place?

We read. We survived. We registered.

The Dungeon Registry is the (un)official community registry for survivors of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. If you’ve ever wondered what your crawler number would be, which floor you’d make it to before the collapse, or whether you’d pick an Amazonian race or go full Donut and become a cat — this is your corner of the dungeon.

This is a place for the people who stayed up too late reading about Carl and Princess Donut, who yelled at the AI’s achievements from the page, and who know that the dungeon is not a game. It’s a trial. And we all volunteered for it.

Why Crawler Numbers?

In the books, every crawler who enters the dungeon receives a number. It’s not just an identifier — it’s a reminder that millions of people are going through the same nightmare, and that each number represents a life fighting for survival.

Carl is #92,788,217. He’s not special because of the number — he’s special because of what he did with it.

Here, your crawler number does the same thing. It marks you as part of the community. When you register, you get your own unique number, assigned in the order you arrive. The earlier you join, the lower your number — and the more senior your place in the dungeon hierarchy.

🏷️ What Your Number Means

  • It’s yours. Your crawler number is permanent. It appears on your badge, your profile, and your place in the Hall of Readers.
  • It’s earned. Numbers are granted at registration, but your reputation is built through XP — quizzes, descents, and contributions to the community.
  • It connects you. Every number in the registry is a real reader somewhere in the world. Check the World Map in your HUD to see where your fellow crawlers hail from.

Why a Community?

The dungeon is not a solo adventure. Carl survived because of the people around him — Donut, Mordecai, and the other crawlers he trusted. Spoiler alert: the ones who went it alone didn’t last long.

This site exists to bring readers together:

  • Forums — Debate theories, share artwork, and trade spoilers across floor-specific boards.
  • Quizzes — Prove you read it. Earn XP for knowing your Book 1 trivia.
  • Hall of Readers — The public registry of every crawler who has joined.
  • The Codex — A growing wiki of floors, characters, classes, and game mechanics.
  • Floors & Descents — Progress through eight dungeon floors as you spend time in the community. Find the hidden staircases. Take them when you’re ready.

The Floors

Like the real dungeon, this community is layered. Your floor represents how long you’ve been here and how deep you’ve chosen to go. From The Entrance to The Nothing, each floor unlocks new content — deeper forums, harder quizzes, and eventually, the ability to choose your race at Floor 3.

The Rules

  1. Respect the crawlers. We’re all in the dungeon together. Treat others like you would Donut — with respect, and maybe a little fear.
  2. Mark your spoilers. The floor forums get deep. Use spoiler tags where appropriate.
  3. Respect the artwork. Members share their creations in the artwork forums. Check the pinned rules — some art is view-only, some is private-use-friendly. Never profit from another crawler’s work.
  4. Don’t exploit the dungeon. No cheating the quiz system. The dungeon AI knows. It always knows.

DON’T FORGET: THE DUNGEON ALWAYS WINS.
But that doesn’t mean we don’t fight like hell anyway.
