The System has issued today's passphrase in a letter-substitution code: every letter of the
alphabet has been swapped for another, consistently, for the whole day.
The alphabet is shuffled again every game day, so yesterday's key is no help today
— a substitution that worked twelve hours ago reads as nonsense now.
No letter is ever swapped for itself — so if a letter looks like it belongs
there, that is not a coincidence and not a typo.
The passphrases are drawn from the books: names, places and invented words are fair game, so a
correct decode can read like a spelling mistake.
Break it and the System admits you did something right. +150 XP, once per day.
Three assists a day, 30 XP each out of that reward: reveal a letter,
or show what you had — which of your guessed letters were in the right place. Wrong guesses stay free.
