🎒 Equipment is live — your loot is real, and you can wear it

EQUIPMENT IS LIVE.

Everything the loot boxes have been handing you is real now, and you can wear it.

Your inventory is in the HUD, under Equipment. Six slots — a weapon, and something for your head, neck, body, hands and feet. One item per slot. Nothing here is class- or race-restricted: if the dungeon gives you plate, you can wear plate.

What you wear is what you fight in. Your kit feeds straight into the fight — the damage you deal, your critical strikes, the damage you take, and how much you steady as a fight drags on. Gear carries a Power number, and Power is not XP: an item found deeper is genuinely stronger, and so is one you have carried the longest, because it grows with every floor you descend while you are wearing it.

What no fight can do. A mob can knock a piece out of your hands for the remainder of that fight. You fight the rest of it without that piece — and afterwards it is still yours. You cannot lose an item. Not on a loss, not on a flight, not ever. That is the promise this site already makes about your XP, your level and your floor, and it holds for your gear too.

The Forge takes three of a kind — same slot, same tier — and gives back one of the next tier up. It asks before it does anything, because that trade consumes three things and returns one. That is your call to make, never the dungeon’s.

Gifts. You can hand gear to your party, and only your party. It arrives ranked down to the floor of whoever receives it, and handing it back does not restore it, so give it to someone who needs it rather than someone who already has deeper kit than you. Five a day.

If you opened a box in the last while and something turned up that you could not do anything with — that was this, arriving early. It was kept, not thrown away. It is in your inventory now, waiting.
