ElDragonParticipantThere would no way I would have been able to finish all eight books. And Jeff has changed my opinion on audiobooks. The man as a miracle worker.

BeensBaxterParticipantYa know. I still haven’t listened to the audiobooks. I KNOW I need to go into it, but I already have in my head how everyone sounds. I know Jeff does a fantastic job. I know it would’ve been different if I listened before I read the books.

BeensBaxterParticipantDoesn’t mean I’m not going to try. 😆 it just take me awhile.

KrelliosParticipantAgreed. I was never really into audiobooks and this genre until I found these. It’s been amazing this far.

UpnovernickyParticipantI listened to the audiobook and just finished the immersive tunnel version and had to get used to some different voices. It was strange but still good!

ElDragonParticipantRight? I finished the first two books in halfway. Through the third on the immersion, I love the commentary spots that just kills me

mrlParticipantI didn’t expect to love the immersive tunnel version as much as I did. The color commentary from Shrak and Jagbarth makes me feel like I’m listening to a sports podcast.

3ringcASSeroleParticipantI read books 1-7 on my kindle and had recently started book 8. I hadn’t got too far before I felt like I was missing stuff I should understand about all the outside the dungeon stuff. I decided to start back over before finishing 8 and I’ve been doing the audiobooks this time. I am loving it. Except the AI’s “I’m touching myself voice”. It’s just so creepy I can’t take it – which is a testament to Jeff Hays’ talent!

I didn’t realize until the second audio book it’s all just one person, he has ruined all other audio book narrations for me. I also love the peppered in ambient sounds.

CatLadyFurEvahParticipantJeff Hays is a notional treasure. To be protected at all costs. Matt D is pretty awesome too 😉

Sounds like I’m gonna have to try the immersion tunnel versionnnn. I’m a sucker for graphic audio so I’m hoping it’s comparable.

Just started He Who Fights with Monsters a couple days ago and I think Jeff Hays ruined other audiobooks for me. 😭

Bunchycrunchy1ParticipantIt’s 100% worth it to listen to it. I laugh every time I hear Carl say “uh, whoops!”
