Seven races, escalating, with the audience voting on what gets bolted onto your vehicle between heats.
The floor is honest about its own cruelty in the title: the prize is not for winning. It is for not being
last.
There is a garage, and time to use it, and the growing knowledge that everyone watching has a preference
and none of them are on your side.
How it runs. Seven heats, seven tracks. Between them you bolt an upgrade onto the rig,
and you are shown the next track’s environment before you choose. Win a heat and you take three upgrades or
one Golden; everyone takes a Golden at the end of the fourth; finish second to last and the audience picks
your upgrade for you. Only the first team across the final heat reaches the portals on the roof.
On this registry you race alone against the AI’s field — there is no grid of eighteen hundred teams
and no teammate to hand the wheel to — and the dungeon does not kill. Come in last and the floor offers
you a way out instead. Refusing it is the whole point.
Registration days: 134-159 — the staircase to the next floor opens on day 159.
Dying here is not the only way to lose. The floor has a habit of
producing deals at the end of it, and the deals are better than they look and worse than they sound.
