Companions vs. Pets – Haven’t seen a single pet!

I’m so glad that they made a distinction between old companions and new pets. It makes it much easier and less confusing to know which one is which.

However, I’m a bit worried—I haven’t seen a single pet since they were implemented. I wonder if it’s because I started out with my two dogs? Would love to know if anyone else is experiencing this or if starting with two dogs locks you out of the pet system!

I have come across 2 pets: a scrap hound, and a pipe rat. Both common type

I was wondering why I had a pet, then simultaneously did and didn’t have one. 😂

are the loot boxes the only way to get pets and/or companions ?

Companions are assigned by the AI and loot boxes are where the pets come from.

So my situation is weird in the opposite direction. I now have 3 pets: Glass Ferret (uncommon); Bone Parrot (uncommon); Scrap Hound (common)

I can’t give them away, grow them, merge them, interact with them, or get them to fight. Maybe that will change on a future level for me?
