📚 Forty-Seven Classes, And What They Leave Behind

The Overcity used to have five answers. It has forty-seven now.

Some are catalogued in the books, and the crawler who carried each one is named beside it — Carl’s Compensated Anarchist, Hekla’s Shieldmaiden, Katia’s Monster Truck Driver, Elle’s Blizzardmancer. Others are quieter but no less dangerous: Prepotente’s Forsaken Aerialist, Milk’s Cartographer, Florin’s Shotgun Messenger.

Three of them are this registry’s own invention, and they say so rather than borrowing somebody else’s history.

Every class fights differently — how hard you hit, how well you take a hit, how often you get lucky. None of them fights best. If you have already chosen, you have already chosen; the dungeon does not offer this twice.

Browse the full roster at Choose Your Class, or read the record in the Codex. Races are catalogued the same way, grouped into families, at Choose Your Race.

🔮 And Then There Are The Things They Leave Behind

Roughly a third of loot boxes now carry a relic — an object that belongs to what you chose to be. A relic for your class, or one for your race. Nobody else’s will ever turn up for you.

Each one is used for you when you fight. One per fight, automatically. If you are carrying several, the dungeon picks. They do not come back.

Every relic is a different tool, not a bigger one, and that is deliberate. A relic that doubled your damage is worth nothing in a fight that ends before you swing. There is no relic worth choosing a race for. There are only relics you will learn to be pleased to see.

Combat itself opens on 1 October. Until then the boxes will still give them up. Collect.

Full catalogue, and the rules for who finds what: Relics.
