⚖️ Your Race And Class Can Be Changed

If you chose a race or a class before this week, you chose when neither of them did anything. The Codex said so plainly: it does not change your stats, your XP, or your odds. That was true when you picked.

It is not true any more.

Your class now decides how you fight — how hard you hit, how well you take a hit, how often you get lucky. Your class and your race both decide which relics can turn up for you. And combat opens on 1 October.

So the dungeon is doing something it does not usually do. You may change either one until 30 September.

What this means in practice

• Open your own profile and pick again: change your race or class. As often as you like, until the window shuts. (That link takes you to your picker — every crawler’s page is their own.)
• If you do nothing, you keep exactly what you have. That is the default. Nothing is taken away, and nobody is penalised for ignoring this.
• At the end of 30 September it locks again, permanently, and combat opens the next morning.
• If you have not chosen yet, this does not concern you. Yours is still waiting at the Overcity on the Third Floor.

Why now

Because a choice that quietly changes meaning underneath you is not a choice. When you picked, this was a costume. It is a decision now, and the dungeon would rather you made it knowing that.

There is no penalty for keeping what you have. There is no reward for changing. The dungeon simply does not enjoy being unfair for the sake of it.
